Shipping Policy

IntroOverview

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through CHAAMO. CHAAMO facilitates shipping through its integrated courier partners via Sendcloud. CHAAMO does not itself transport goods and is not a carrier.

All shipments must be created using the shipping label generated through CHAAMO. Buyers pay shipping costs at checkout, and sellers are responsible for preparing and dispatching the shipment in accordance with this Policy and the CHAAMO Terms of Service.

1Standard Liability Coverage

All approved couriers provide standard liability cover for loss or damage in accordance with their published terms. Liability limits differ by carrier and may be calculated per kilogram, per parcel, or as a fixed value. Standard liability cover is not full-value insurance and may be insufficient for high-value items.

Optional extended insurance (XCover) may be available at checkout. XCover is provided by a third-party insurer and is subject to its own terms and coverage limits. CHAAMO does not insure shipments.

CHAAMO assists in submitting loss or damage claims to the courier; however, compensation is determined exclusively by the courier or insurer and is not guaranteed.

2Seller Requirements

Sellers must:

  • Package items securely using adequate protective materials (including, where applicable, sleeves, top loaders, bubble wrap, and padded mailers).
  • Use only the shipping label provided through CHAAMO.
  • Ensure all address information is accurate and complete.
  • Dispatch orders within a reasonable time after the sale and in accordance with CHAAMO's Terms of Service.

Where damage occurs due to inadequate or improper packaging, the seller remains fully liable for the loss, regardless of whether the courier denies or restricts compensation.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in corrective action, including suspension under CHAAMO's Abusing Platform Policy.

3Buyer Requirements

Buyers must:

  • Ensure all address information is accurate and complete.
  • Inspect delivered items immediately upon receipt.
  • Report any damage, misdescription, or delivery-related issues to both the seller and CHAAMO within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Provide clear photographic evidence of the item, packaging, and courier label.

Failure to report issues within the required timeframe may prevent proper investigation and may result in the claim being declined.

4Lost Parcels

Where a parcel is delayed or shows no movement, CHAAMO may contact the courier on behalf of the buyer or seller to initiate an investigation. A parcel is considered lost only when the courier confirms it as such.

Any compensation issued is strictly limited to the courier's applicable liability limit unless optional extended insurance (XCover) was purchased.

CHAAMO is not responsible for courier delays, courier errors, denied claims, or losses exceeding the courier's liability cap.

5International Shipments (DDU)

All international shipments generated through CHAAMO are shipped on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis. This means:

  • The buyer is responsible for paying any import VAT, customs duties, brokerage fees, and clearance charges.
  • Delivery may be delayed until all applicable import fees are paid.
  • If the buyer refuses to pay import fees, resulting in return, delay, or destruction, CHAAMO is not liable for associated losses or charges.

Sellers must accurately declare item value, description, and contents. CHAAMO does not provide tax, customs, or legal advice.

6Disputes and Time Limits

Shipping-related issues must be reported within the following timeframes:

  • Damage: within 48 hours of delivery
  • Loss: within 7 days of the estimated delivery date
  • Misdescription: within 48 hours of delivery

Claims reported outside these time limits may not qualify for assistance. CHAAMO may conduct an informal review of evidence. CHAAMO's role is facilitative only; final determinations regarding loss or damage are made by the courier or insurer.

7Limitations

CHAAMO is not responsible for:

  • Loss or damage occurring after confirmed delivery
  • Shipments sent outside CHAAMO's approved courier system
  • Incorrect delivery details supplied by the buyer or seller
  • Courier or customs delays
  • Claims denied due to prohibited contents or insufficient packaging

CHAAMO acts as an intermediary and does not guarantee or influence courier claim outcomes.
